Welcome to Videoplate Studio, version 1.0x1b19c.1.
The Videoplate Studio is the tool that allows you to create video templates, i.e. videoplates. This page shall serve as a reference for the application.
This document is a work-in-progress and your input is appreciated, so don't hesitate to send us suggestions or comments.
If you have just logged-in for the first time and are a bit overwhelmed or confused by the interface, you may want to jump to the section Your First Videoplate for a brief introduction to the editor.
What is a videoplate?
The word videoplate is the description for what incloode sells, also known as fill-in video templates or video storyboards.
A videoplate is a video template based on a story played out on a timeline, loaded with predefined video and music, and blanks for User Clips (to be uploaded by the user) and instructions of how to apply effects. This means that a videoplate director can deliver both the story and edit the video to give it a very existing and professional mix. He can give the user the idea of what video to make, and make sure it looks really good.
The videoplates can contain video files of any format, images, or flash files. Users provide their own video clips to fill in the designated “blanks” in the template.
Normally a storyboard is a sequence of scenes, play out after each other, containing scripts, filming instructions, and overall plot. Incloode is close to this, but also allow additional editing possibilities.
What is Videoplate Studio?
Videoplate Studio is the tool which, visually, allows you to create and edit your own videoplate definitions and preview them. When satisfied you can "publish" a videoplate, which shall make it available on your account.
There is a brief introduction to the editor entitled Your First Videoplate.
Currently, there are only visual effects, only applicable to video and image sources. Audio effects are not yet exposed in this version of Videoplate Studio.
